Adding a little garlic bread to a meal makes it instantly feel more complete. But warming up the oven for 1 slice is a lot of hassle and uses too much energy. Luckily there's a really easy way to make a slice or two without all the effort.
It's so simple. You just need sliced bread (buns work too), butter, garlic, and any other toppings you would like. I used a little oregano and parmesan.
First, you butter the bread. You need enough on there to get the garlic to stick so get all the way to the edges.
Then you just have to sprinkle the garlic on to taste.
If there's any other spices you'd like to add, do that
now. I added a little big of oregano.
Nows the clever part. You're making garlic bread or also known as garlic toast. How does one make toast? With a toaster. *mind blown*
But seriously this works so well. You just pop the prepared pieces into the toaster and select the toasiness level you want. Easy as that.
You can sprinkle some cheese on it right when it comes out if you want.
Do it quickly though so it can melt a little.
And there you have it. Quick and simple. You can do it while the main dish is finishing up.
A good place to remember this method is at work. If you pack leftovers and throw some ready made toast in, you can use the breakroom's toaster to make your lunch that much more complete.
And don't worry about the specifics on this one.
They're more like guidelines anyway.
